Hamilton Lakes: Explore the epitome of family-friendly swim and tennis at Hamilton Lakes Swim & Tennis Club. Tucked in the scenic Hamilton Lakes community, this centrally located club features a 50-meter pool, lap pool, and a shaded baby pool exclusively for little ones. Known for its thriving aquatic programs and championship-winning Hornets swim team, Hamilton Lakes offers an inviting haven for all ages.

Starmount Country Club: Founded in 1930, Starmount Forest has transformed from a historic PGA Tour venue to a modern family-centric country club. Following nearly $4 million in updates, it now boasts a two-story, 9,000-square-foot fitness facility with classes and personal training. The aquatics facility offers a 14-foot water slide, splashground, adult wading pool, and a poolside restaurant. Tennis enthusiasts can enjoy six outdoor Har-Tru Clay Courts and four indoor hard courts spanning 22,000 square feet for year-round play. Greensboro Country Club: Greensboro Country Club, rooted in a humble 1909 beginning as a five-hole pitch and putt course, has evolved into a premier destination for member families. Boasting two 18-hole golf courses, racquet sports courts, a state-of-the-art fitness facility, and two swimming pools, the club offers a range of recreational options. The main Clubhouse, established in 1975, anchors the Irving Park community, while a merger with Carlson Farm Country Club in 1969 expanded amenities, including an additional golf course and tennis courts. From fine dining to casual evenings out, the club’s various dining locations ensure unforgettable experiences for members, fostering lasting friendships and cherished memories.

Lake Jeanette Swim and Tennis Club: The Lake Jeanette Swim and Tennis Club in Greensboro offers a range of facilities for swimming and tennis enthusiasts. Located on the scenic shores of Lake Jeanette, the club features 10 tennis courts, including 8 Har-Tru Soft Courts with subsurface irrigation and advanced lighting, alongside 2 lighted All Season Tennis Courts, with professional coaching available from nationally recognized USPTA Tennis Pros. The club also features two swimming pool locations, as well as, new Pickleball facilities to accommodate players of all skill levels.

Public Pools 

Smith Active Adult Pool: Smith Active Adult Center serves the active adult community in Greensboro and Guilford County by offering diverse, year-round programs and services that address physical, social, mental, and cultural needs. The center features a Fitness Room, Activity Rooms, Indoor Pool, Gymnasium, and Outdoor Bocce Courts and Horseshoe Pits. Recognized for excellence, Smith Active Adult Center attained the designation as a NC Senior Center of Excellence in 2014 and was recertified in 2019 by the NC Division of Aging and Adult Services.

Warnersville Pool: Warnersville Pool is a city pool that provides a spacious swimming area with amenities such as concessions, restrooms, picnic areas, and ample seating. Serving the community just south of downtown and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, this large pool accommodates over 75 swimmers, offering multiple lanes and features like a kiddie pool. Additionally, Warnersville Pool is a hub for swim lessons, swim teams, and pool party rentals, providing a versatile and enjoyable aquatic experience for all.

Greensboro Aquatic Center: Opened in 2011, the Greensboro Aquatic Center (GAC) stands as a premier aquatic facility with state-of-the-art amenities. Hosting a variety of aquatic sports, including swimming, diving, and water polo, the GAC has become a national hub for competitive events. Beyond competitions, it operates as a community pool, offering open swimming, swim lessons, water fitness classes, and specialized aquatic programs. With a unique partnership with Guilford County Schools, the GAC is recognized for its curriculum-based ‘Learn to Swim’ program. Operating 15 hours a day, 360 days a year, and featuring a recent expansion, the GAC is the largest facility of its kind in the country, making a significant impact on the local community and economy.

Splash Pads 

Bur-Mil Park Family Aquatic Center: Includes water sprayers, slides for small children, an activity area where kids control the water, plus a water massage bench.

Hagan Stone Park: Aquatic center includes a large outdoor water park.

Keely Park Sprayground: Typical outdoor splash park with water sprayers. Individual tables available for picnics. Playground nearby. Good idea to get there early before the crowd hits.

LeBauer Seasonal Fountain: The LeBauer Park seasonal fountain is open daily in LeBauer Park. Free admission! Interactive splash pad for children and adults, plus a huge grassy lawn, dog park, Peacehaven Sensory Space (a sculptural wall designed to be enjoyed by people who have sensory processing disorders), ping pong and foosball tables.
