  • Trails & Greenways: Greensboro has an extensive network of trails and greenways for walkers, runners, hikers and bikers to enjoy, including close to 50 miles of natural surface trails around the city’s three lakes.
  • Greensboro’s Gardens: Greensboro has four distinct public gardens that nurture strong communities by contributing to education, environmental conservation, health, and recreation. Open year-round, these gardens are free to all.
  • City Lakes: Greensboro’s three municipal reservoirs offer recreational activities including kayaking, canoeing, sailing, rowing, SUP and some of the best fishing in the region.
  • Downtown Greenway: A planned 4-mile walking and biking trail with an emphasis on public art, this urban loop is the only one of its kind in North Carolina.
