Lindley Park Neighborhood sits west of downtown Greensboro bordering West Market Street, South Elam Avenue, Oakland Avenue, and South Holden Road. Developed in the 1910s, the neighborhood is full of a broad mix of architectural styles, canopy tree-lined streets, and a diverse residential population.
Lindley Park is situated within the neighborhood and consists of 107 acres upon which two playgrounds, fields, and a large natural area are included. Adjacent to the park is the Greensboro Arboretum. This 17-acre botanical garden includes 14 plant collections, a paved walking trail, special display gardens, a wedding gazebo, a scenic overlook, and more.
Neighbors are known to be involved, proactive, and caring within the community. For example, a local neighbor, Robin Anders, helped secure the 2023 NeighborWoods Community Tree Planting grant, which was designed to preserve and restore the tree canopy in neighborhoods and helped bring 200 native trees to Lindley Park.

Within Lindley Park is a collection of restaurants and shops along the historic corner of Walker and Elam, known as “the Corner” by the locals. Head to the Corner to start your morning off with a coffee from Common Grounds, enjoy lunch at Fishbones, Lindley Park Filling Station, or Sticks & Stones, and round the day off with a drink from Suds & Duds, Walker’s Bar, or Wahoo’s Tavern.
Homes don’t stay on the market long in Lindley Park, as the neighborhood is highly sought after. The average home price in Lindley Park is between $205,000-$405,000. Lindley Park Manor is an apartment complex that has been serving the rental community for more than 40 years, while MoJud Lofts are Lindley Park’s newest apartment complex that opened January 2024.

Each year Lindley Park hosts community events which include the annual Spring Fling, the ever-popular Chili Cookoff, and the long tradition of the Lindley Park Luminaries. Newer events include a weekly farmers market.
The schools that Lindley Park is zoned for include Lindley Elementary School, Kiser Middle School, and Grimsley High School. Construction is currently underway for the new Brooks Global Studies Magnet Elementary School being relocated directly across from the Greensboro Arboretum with a projected opening in January 2025.
