  • UNC Greensboro is ranked No.1 in NC for Social Mobility – US News & World Report

  • Bennett College – first and only women’s college in the nation with an on campus Women’s Business Center
  • Guilford College – recognized as a College that Changes Lives for more than 20 years.
  • University of North Carolina at Greensboro: With an enrollment of nearly 20,000, UNCG is the largest and most diverse university in the area and has been recognized for challenging academic programs, a supportive environment and an engaged community.
  • North Carolina A&T State University: NC A&T State University is the largest public HBCU in the country, as well as the Wall Street Journal’s highest-ranked public school for combining research and teaching.
  • Guilford College: Guilford College, the only Quaker-founded college in the southeastern U.S., provides a transformational and practical liberal arts education anchored by the core values of the Quaker community.  
  • Greensboro College: Greensboro College, founded in 1838, provides undergraduates with a true liberal-arts education and offers six master’s degrees. Greensboro College’s 17-sport NCAA Division III athletic program is nationally recognized.
  • Bennett College: Now one of only two historically black colleges in the U.S. that enroll only women, Bennett College was founded in 1873 as a normal school to educate and train freedmen and women as teachers.
  • Guilford Technical Community College: Offering more than 80 programs of study with associate degrees, diplomas and certificates as well as noncredit courses, GTCC is the third largest of 58 institutions in the North Carolina Community College System and serves students from six campuses and a Small Business Center.
  • Elon University School of Law: Elon Law has been recognized as one of America’s 20 most innovative law schools for its groundbreaking model for experiential legal education. The North Carolina Business Court is located on the school’s campus.
  • Elon University: Elon is a selective, mid-sized private university renowned as a national model for engaged and experiential learning. 
  • Union Square Campus: A partnership between Cone Health, Guilford Technical Community College, North Carolina A&T State University and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, the Union Square Campus is a state-of-the art setting for educating nurses from associate level through the doctoral degree level.
  • Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering: The Joint School of Nanoscience and Nanoengineering (JSNN) mission is to be a catalyst for breakthrough innovations that provide high-impact academic, industry and government research outcomes. Nanoscience degrees are awarded by UNCG and nanoengineering degrees are awarded by NC A&T State University.
