Mike Dempsey, left, and his brother Don Dempsey, founded Yellow Dog Design, Inc., located in Greensboro, North Carolina in 2001. They use a dye sublimation/heat transfer printing process to manufacture a unique line of pet collars and leads, as well as equine products. The company’s 15,000 sq. ft. facility houses both offices and manufacturing.

Dog Friendly Bars: 

  • Doggos Park & Pub: Doggos Park & Pub is a dog park where furry friends can accompany their owners aged 21 and above. It’s a haven for both canines and humans, offering 10,000 sq ft of off-leash play space for pups and a wide array of adult beverages for their owners to enjoy. To gain entry, visitors must purchase a day, monthly, or annual pass and complete registration in advance of their visit.
  • Joymongers: Joymongers Brewing Co., warmly welcomes dogs to their dog-friendly brewery. They are dedicated to crafting innovative, small-batch brews available exclusively in their taproom, where dogs are invited to enjoy both indoor and outdoor spaces.
  • Little Brother Brewing: Little Brother Brewing, a dog-friendly establishment, operates with a focus on experimentation and creative ingredient usage in their on-site brewing operations, utilizing a 4-barrel system. Notably, they offer a unique “Resident Brewer” program, providing homebrewers with a studio and platform to showcase their craft to the community. Dogs are happily welcomed on the patio for patrons to enjoy their brews in the company of their furry friends.  
  • Pig Pounder Brewery: Pig Pounder Brewery welcomes dogs and specializes in crafting English Ales. Known for its award-winning beverages, outdoor patio seating, and an art gallery-style pavilion featuring Kotis street art murals, it’s a must-visit destination for beer enthusiasts.
  • Oden Brewing Company: Oden Brewing Company is a taproom situated within a historic bottling plant that warmly welcomes dogs. Whether you prefer to be indoors or outdoors on the patio and lawn, leashed dogs can join you. Savor your preferred pint while mingling with friends, or revel in live music shows and comedy performances on weekends. Additionally, a superb local food truck is stationed onsite every evening for your culinary delights.

  • Dog Park at LeBauer Park: Looking for a dog park in Downtown Greensboro? The Dog Park at LeBauer Park is a great option! The one-acre park features separate areas for small and large dogs, as well as multiple water fountains and plenty of shaded seating options.
  • Dog Park at Southwest Park: Bring your dog to roam off-leash at the dog park at Southwest Park in Greensboro, NC. This 2.5-acre fenced-in recreation area features agility equipment, water fountains, and separate spaces for small and large dogs. 
  • Northeast Dog Park: The newly designed dog park at Northeast Park features separate sections for large and small dogs. Each section features size appropriate agility courses. There’s plenty of shade and seating throughout the park, with water available for people and dogs alike.
  • Dog Park at Griffin Park: Griffin Park provides a two-acre fenced-in dog park with separate play spaces for small and large dogs. Bring your furry friend for a chance to socialize off-leash. Follow the paved path from the parking lot of Griffin Recreation Center to find this dog park.
  • Stephen M. Hussey BarkPark at Country Park: Located in the tranquil Country Park near the Greensboro Science Center, BarkPark features more than 2 acres of fenced in play area, with separate spaces for small and large dogs. Offering canine water fountains, seating options, and agility equipment, it’s the perfect place to spend a day.

Dog Adoption

  • Guilford County Animal Services: The Guilford County Animal Resource Center is the only public open admission animal services center in Guilford County. They are a professional, caring organization devoted to saving the lives of lost, abandoned and surrendered animals. They strive to reconnect lost pets with their owners, and unite abandoned or surrendered animals with a loving family.
  • Red Dog Farm: Red Dog Farm Animal Rescue is a leader in animal rescues in North Carolina. They have found homes for more than 5,000 animals. Red Dog Farm is built on a large network of caring individuals and families who open their hearts, homes and farms to foster until a forever family is found.
